Top German teams Lindmeyer/Wunner and Merten/Böhnke qualify for the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2

Qualification

High-class padel and beaming winners

At the wildcard tournament at PadelCity, the GPS 500 in Dortmund, the team Johannes Lindmeyer/Matthias Wunner (Cologne) won the final last weekend and thus earned themselves a wildcard for the main draw of the CUPRA GERMANY PREMIER PADEL P2. The second-best team was the duo Nick Merten/Christian Böhnke, also from TC Weiden/Cologne, who secured their ticket for the qualifiers in Düsseldorf.

For both teams, this fulfils their big dream of competing against the world’s padel elite and playing in the biggest padel event currently taking place on German soil, which will be held at CASTELLO in Düsseldorf from 20 to 28 September.

In addition to the German padel routiners, participation will certainly also be an extraordinary experience for 15-year-old Jonas Trümpler: thanks to a qualifying wild card awarded by PadelCity, the teenager will compete alongside Daniel Lingen (35) at the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2. Despite his young age, Trümpler is already ranked 20th in the German men’s rankings.
