Padel’s world elite returns to Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf, 18 September 2026 – World-class padel returns to Düsseldorf: from 4 to 11 October 2026, the entire international elite of padel will once again gather at CASTELLO Düsseldorf for the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2. The player field for Germany’s tournament on the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour has now also been confirmed.

The international padel elite has confirmed its participation. All players ranked in the world’s top 10 are expected in Düsseldorf, once again ensuring a top-class field for the second edition of the Germany P2.

In addition, the international wildcards for the tournament have now also been confirmed. Subject to any last-minute changes, fans can once again look forward to seeing some of the best padel players in the world today.

Last year’s champions return to Düsseldorf

Special attention is also being paid to last year’s winning pairs. In the women’s draw, Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea claimed the title in 2025 after a spectacular three-set final against Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría. With a playing time of three hours and 20 minutes, the match was the second-longest women’s final in the history of the Premier Padel Tour. The men’s champions are also returning: Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto prevailed in the 2025 final against Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia. For Galán, it was also the 50th tournament title of his career.

“After last year’s strong debut, we are especially looking forward to welcoming the international padel elite back to Düsseldorf,” says Dani Battistel, tournament director of the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2 and managing director of mm sports padel. “The fact that we can once again count on such a top-class field shows how much weight the Germany P2 now carries within the Tour. For fans, it’s a special opportunity to experience the best players in the world up close.”

German players get another chance on the big stage

Alongside the international world elite, several German pairs will also take to the court in Düsseldorf in 2026. The number of available wildcards is set according to FIP guidelines and the respective size of the field. The following wildcards have been awarded for the Germany P2 2026:

  • Main draw wildcard, women: Katharina Hering / Lena Plümer
  • Main draw wildcard, men: Matthias Wunner / Johannes Lindmeyer and Agustin Reca / Victor Checa
  • Qualifying wildcard, men: Nick Merten / Christian Böhnke and Jonas Trümpler / Benjamin Fitzon

This once again gives German players the opportunity to compete against international rivals in front of a home crowd.

Eight days of world-class padel at CASTELLO Düsseldorf

The strong demand from last year continues: the final weekend of the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2 is already sold out. Tickets are still available for the earlier tournament days, however. The qualifying rounds in particular offer the chance to see German wildcard pairs live. During the week, the tournament is also ideal for a sporty after-work evening at CASTELLO Düsseldorf.

Day tickets for the qualifying rounds on Sunday and Monday are available from as little as €9.50. For the opening days of the main draw, ticket prices start at €14.50. Tickets are available exclusively via Ticketmaster.
