Intense matches in the battle for the wildcard places<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich, August 4, 2026 \u2013 On August 1 and 2, PadelCity in Andernach near Koblenz hosted the German wildcard qualifiers for the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2<\/strong>. A total of 32 teams \u2013 16 in the women’s and 16 in the men’s draw \u2013 competed in high-summer heat for a place at the international tournament from October 4 to 11 at CASTELLO D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of five wildcards are being awarded \u2013 the number is set by the global Premier Padel Tour. Two wildcards (main draw and qualification) for the men are awarded in coordination with the German Padel Association (DPV) to selected players. The remaining wildcards \u2013 one for the men’s qualifying and one each for the women’s and men’s main draw \u2013 were contested over the weekend. Over the two tournament days, players delivered gripping matches at a high level \u2013 with long rallies, tight sets, and a men’s final that was only decided in the third set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing against the world’s best in front of a home crowd in D\u00fcsseldorf this October will be a special moment for us\u201d, adds Katharina Hering, who together with her partner Lena Pl\u00fcmer won the wildcard for the women’s main draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the wildcards awarded, the player field for the main tournament is taking further shape. From October 4 to 11, 2026, the CUPRA Germany Premier Padel P2 returns to CASTELLO D\u00fcsseldorf for the second time \u2013 as part of the prestigious Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour, the world’s top players will once again compete there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for the main tournament are available through official ticket partner Ticketmaster: the current allocation for the final weekend on Saturday and Sunday is already sold out \u2013 tickets remain available for all other tournament days. Day tickets for the qualifying round start at \u20ac9.50, for the first days of the main draw at \u20ac14.50, and from the second round (Thursday) at \u20ac19.50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
